Adult six week beginners course: Commencing Friday 11th June 6pm to 7.30pm
Beginner's courses are of 6 weeks duration.
All equipment will be provided for these sessions.
Vale Racquet and Sports Club members: each session is free but there is a cost for the course.
Course cost is £30.00 this includes annual Recreational British Fencing membership - mandatory for Insurance purposes, use of all kit, tuition.
Non Vale Racquet and Sports club members the cost will be £4.00 per session payable at the Vale reception and the cost of the course, £30.00 this includes annual Recreational British Fencing membership - mandatory for Insurance purposes, use of all kit, tuition.
At the end of beginner's courses members are encouraged to stay and participate in the regular training sessions. All kit is still provided until members begin to purchase their own kit.

As we make our return to fencing Vale Millennium fencing club is committed to implementing and following the Guidance of the National and Regional Governing bodies British and Welsh Fencing to ensure a safe return to our sport.
All fencers are reminded to follow the new social distancing and sanitisation measures.
Vale fencing club runs throughout the year with the exception of Christmas and New Year.
Studio 2: Saturday morning Sessions with Covid restrictions:
09.15-10.15am: Beginner and Novice "Pod 1"
10.30 am to 11.30 "Pod 2" Novice fencers
11.45-12.45 "Pod 3" Intermediate/Experienced/Competitive children & Adults.
13.00 -14.00 "Pod 4"
Intermediate/experienced/Competitive children & Adults. This session may not always run.
14.00 - 18.00 Individual/paired sessions. Subject to prior arrangement.
Sunday sessions with Covid restrictions
09.00 - 12.00 Individual/paired sessions. Subject to prior arrangement.
Individual/paired sessions are subject to prior arrangement, each session lasts for 1 hour.
Structure for session is flexible and tailored to the abilities of participants.
Sessions are centered around family groups/pods.
Sparring, group and individual lessons may now take place, subject to Covid restrictions & lessons are by prior arrangement.
Structure of sessions: All activities are socially distanced.
Strength & conditioning
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
Lunge/Hit pad work.
Use of equipment to focus on hand - eye co-ordination.
Small group lessons.
Sparring (following current restrictions)
Working on specific aspects of the British Fencing and British Academy of Fencing (BAF) profiency awards in a socially distanced manner.
