Meet our Team of unpaid Volunteers.

Vale Millennium Fencing Club Coaches, Welfare & Safeguarding Officers and Covid Officers are all unpaid volunteers who are members of British & Welsh Fencing, they have current Enhanced DBS checks, First Aid certificates, Sports Wales Safeguarding & Protecting certificates, Time to Listen and Welfare officer training and are on the current accreditated British Fencing Coaches, Welfare Officers, Team Manager, Covid Officer, referees registers. Saskia is a fully accredited physiotherapist and First Aider.

Saskia is an active competitive fencer and member of the Welsh Veteran International Women's Epee Squad.

Owain Carbis

Coach

Owain is the designated Welsh language coach for the Vale fencing club.
A competitive Vale fencer and former Welsh Squad member.
Accredited BF Epee coach.
Qualified BF foil and epee referee.

Dan Schoen

Coach

Dan is a long time competitive fencer.
Accredited BF Epee Coach.
Member of Aberystwyth Fencing Team.
Welsh speaker.
Qualified foil and epee referee.
Former Welsh Squad member.

Charlie Wescott

Youth Liaison

Charlie is the Youth Liaison for the Vale Millennium Club, he is a member of the Vale Committee with responsibility for bringing the youth views to the fore and bringing about positive change. Charlie has represented Wales at National and International events.

Rhys Jackson

Vice Youth Liaison

Rhys works closely with Charlie to give voice the ideas and changes of the younger member of the club. He has a voice on the Vale Committee to help implement positive change. Rhys has represented Wales at National and International events and has represented GBR at International events.

Peter Regan

Webmaster

Peter is a veteran fencer and is responsible for maintaining/updating the Vale website with all relevant details, from Covid restrictions to policy documents, event results. Peter is a member of the Vale committee.

Joe Bradley

Social Media

Joe had recently completed a fencing starter course when fencing activities came to a halt, he has enthusiastically undertaken to overview and run the Vale club social media. He will be keeping everyone informed as to new rules and regulations as necessary and to informing everyone through the social media platforms of our fencers event news.
